Salary: $33.40 – $36.00/hour for 30 – 40 hours/week

Harwood Lumber Ltd. is eagerly looking for Veneer dryer tender who can carry out a variety of general and routine wood processing activities. As a Veneer dryer tender, the candidate must perform the following job duties.
Job Duties:
1. Ability to operate and troubleshoot dryer.
2. Must work with other Dryer Tenders and Maintenance to schedule and perform routine maintenance on equipment during the week or on weekends.
3. Possess grade knowledge of different types of veneer.
4. Maintain all housekeeping duties in assigned area.
5. Must keep complete and accurate paperwork for veneers through dryer.
6. Must support the team in achieving all Safety, Production and Quality goals.
7. Maintain Dryer Efficiency to keep drying Cost down.
8. Maintain Quality Standard set forth by Quality Department.
9. Other duties as assigned by Mentor.
Requirements:
• Education: Secondary school
• Experience: 2 years or more experience working in the industry
• Language: Basic English is a requirement
Other Skills:
Willing and able to perform physically demanding work including the ability to lift up to 50lbs
