Full Time
Main duties:
· Bathe animals using appropriate shampoos and conditioners based on coat type and skin condition.
· Dry animals using towels, cage dryers, or hand dryers while monitoring for safety and stress.
· Brush and comb coats to remove tangles, mats, and loose hair.
· Clip, trim, and style coats using clippers, scissors, and grooming tools according to breed standards or owner instructions.
· Safely shave severely matted coats when required for the animal’s welfare.
· Trim nails and clean ears.
· Express anal glands if required and if trained to do so.
· Assess coat and skin condition and inform pet owners of any concerns, such as parasites, infections, lumps, or injuries.
· Handle animals safely and humanely, including difficult or anxious pets.
· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, equipment, and work area
· Maintain grooming records and follow client instructions
· Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding grooming results, coat condition, and maintenance needs
Number of positions: 1
Full-time-Permanent: 36-40 hrs/week
Young applicants will be preferred.
Education
12 Grade
Experience
1-2 years of relevant industry experience
Salary
$ 16/ Hour
Benefits
• Overtime Pay (1.5 times the hourly wage after 40 hours of working in a week)
• Vacation Pay as per Saskatchewan Standards (3 weeks or 5.77% of vacation pay)
