KUJIRA SUSHI & IZAKAYA is looking for an experienced head chef to join our team.
Salary: 36.00 hourly / 37.5 to 40 hours per week
Terms of employment: Full time permanent employment

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Work setting: Restaurant, work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Responsibilities & Tasks:
– Estimate amount and costs of supplies and food items
– Estimate labour costs
– Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory
– Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff
– Create new recipes
– Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
– Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
– Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods
– Recruit and hire staff
Supervision:
– 3-4 people
– 5-10 people
Experience and specialization:
– Sushi preparation techniques
– Japanese cuisine
